这般特例通常为不须付费认证也已经足够知名的帐户，例如 LeBron James、William Shatner 和 Stephen King 等人，他们也都曾公开表示自己不会付费去取得认证。有趣的是，Elon Musk 显然理解审时度势的重要，针对这类名人，他就选择自掏腰包提供认证，并且本人也已经公开承认此事。
目前仍有不少用户因遭到撤销蓝勾而发出抗议，但 Elon Musk 早就多次表示认证收费的政策将是 Twitter 重要的收入来源之一，平台与用户之间的平衡仍有待时间考验，有兴趣的读者不妨持续关注。
