近日，比亚迪智利分公司中标成为智利生产促进委员会指定生产商，能以优势价格获得智利矿业化工集团生产的原材料供应，在2030之前的供应量每年可达11244吨。此外，比亚迪智利分公司签署相关合同，获得在智利北部安托法加斯塔（Antofagasta）地区建设锂电正极材料工厂的许可。规划年产量5万吨，总投资预计2.9亿美元以上，计划2025年末正式开始运营。
