芭比（Margot Robbie 饰演）在一个完美的地方过着完美的人生，会举办超级盛大的派对，有华丽音乐及排舞，每天都过着很棒的日子，但有一天怪事开始发生在芭比身上，她的洗澡水不热，会从屋顶跌落，甚至发现她的脚跟竟然贴地了，变成扁平足。之后她决定与肯尼（Ryan Gosling 饰演）进入真实世界，去探索事情的真相，并且引发一连串的意外事件。
