Dwayne Johnson 在《Fast X》片尾惊喜现身后，果不其然稍早就正式宣布回归系列的消息，他在 Twitter 上表示自己百分百确认重回《Fast and Furious》系列，并再次出演 Luke Hobbs 这名角色。
「去年夏天，我和 Vin Diesel 将过去种种全都抛在脑后，我们将以兄弟情谊和坚定决心为重，并继续照顾我们所爱的电影系列、角色和影迷。」Dwayne Johnson 在贴文影片中提到。
目前已知 Dwayne Johnson 在回归之余，Universal Pictures 也将为他制作一部专属《Fast and Furious》系列衍生电影，但确认不是《Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw》的续集，并将由 Chris Morgan 编写剧本，外媒宣称可以将这部电影视为《Fast X》和《Fast X: Part II》的桥梁。
