今年 38 岁的 Chris Paul 剩余两年合约皆为非保障合约，下一赛季薪资中仅有 1580万美元受到保障，球团可将其延长为五年支付，而 Phoenix Suns 与 CP3 目前仍在尝试各种交易可能，或是签下一笔新合约也在球团的接受条件中，如在本月 28 号前无法谈妥便会正式裁掉，而 CP3 仍希望能加入一支拥有夺冠实力的球队。
Chris Paul 今年常规赛成绩为 13.9 分 4.3 篮板 8.9 助攻 1.5 抢断，季后赛成绩为 12.4 分 5 篮板 7.4 助攻 1.7 抢断。
