游戏工作室 Sabotage 在微博宣布，《星之海》的所有内容已经开发制作完成。据悉，现在游戏已经可以从开场画面玩到终场字幕。所有内容也都经过了全面的审查、打磨和调整，达到了团队满意的“完成”状态。
Sabotage 工作室表示，“从第一次露面开始，已经过去了五年；如今团队终于走到了这一步.” 据悉，《星之海》将用现代的方式重现经典角色扮演游戏：从回合制战斗到跌宕起伏的故事，从世界探索到细腻的环境交互，让大家重回独属怀旧游戏的美好旧时光。得益于独特的渲染管线，本作突破了2D像素美术游戏的限制，让玩家感受到一个更加真实、令人惊叹的游戏世界。
《星之海》将于8月29日在 PC 、PlayStation 、Xbox 以及 以及 Nintendo Switch 发售。游戏确认加入 Xbox Game Pass。
