全国音乐出版商协会周三起诉推特公司，指控该公司未经许可在其平台上使用词曲作者的音乐侵犯了他们的版权。推特是为数不多的不向音乐版权持有者支付作品授权费用的主要社交媒体平台之一。美国国家音乐协会是美国词曲作者权益的主要倡导者，其成员包括许多大型音乐公司。该协会正寻求法院宣布，推特故意侵犯了约1700首歌曲的音乐版权。
