7月27日，旗下拥有Key社品牌的VISUAL ARTS社长马场隆博发博文宣布退休，文中称所有公司股权已转让给腾讯，VISUAL ARTS成为腾讯子公司。
VISUAL ARTS的新社长将由天云玄树（丘野塔也）担任。马场隆博在博文中表示，在最近一段时间内与多个企业进行了接触和交涉，最终的结果是社内的创作者和员工经过多次面谈选定的。此后还将一如既往打磨故事的质量，为大家继续创作出感动人心的作品，目前还有多个企划，新社长将会公布新的视觉小说、动画、手游新作。
Key为VISUAL ARTS旗下游戏品牌，曾推出过《Kanon》《AIR》《CLANNAD》等作品，并多次将作品授权改编为动画。
