这款初代 iPod 在今年 7 月初，被私人收藏家透过收藏品投资平台 Rally，以 $29,000 美元的价格买下；该平台联合创始人 Rob Petrozzo 提到：「这台 iPod 的主人在清理房子时，发现这件具有历史意义的产品，它仍然放在原来的包装盒中，这确实是个时空胶囊。」
