《超时空要塞》新作游戏《超时空要塞 Shooting Insight》（マクロス -Shooting Insight-）宣布将于2024年1月25日发售，登陆PS5/PS4/Switch/PC（Steam）平台。
《超时空要塞 Shooting Insight》以《超时空要塞7》中的“Battle7”为舞台，将有多达45位驾驶员和歌姬登场，玩家将使用历代驾驶员与女武神机体开展拯救歌姬作战。本作将收录游戏原创故事剧情，不同驾驶员挑战的关卡、不同关卡的玩法也会产生变化。
由于本作原本宣传的为2023年内发售，正式发售日略有延期，官方为此事向玩家表达了歉意。
