据了解，Bonnie Aarons 在《修女》第一集的片酬为 71,500 美元，另外还包含一笔源自于票房收益的 17.5 万美元奖金，以及从周边商品销售中所取得的分润。而问题就出在这笔「分润」款项上。她的律师认为「Warner Bros. 并没有以透明的方式核算和支付 Bonnie Aarons 应得的金额，而是掩盖并隐藏她的分额，同时还继续利用她」。根据双方当初协议，Bonnie Aarons 有权获得总收入 50% 中的 5%。然而，Bonnie Aarons 却声称 Warner Bros. 提交的报告中，她的分额与其角色被大量用于商品销售的情况有所落差，以至于决定控诉上述公司违反「诚信善意与公平交易默示协定」，该法条要求合同中的每一方得按照预期履行协议，而不是使用手段削弱交易目的。
尽管如此，《修女 The Nun 2》依旧将于 9 月 8 日于北美上映，此前导演 Michael Chaves 称本片将会是「招魂宇宙」中最暴力的电影，依旧值得期待。
