报道称，该车队最初部署的时候将会配置安全员，Cruise 在西雅图的部署将从西雅图市中心、国会山、皇后区、弗里蒙特、大学区和西雅图西区开始。Cruise 希望中收集到宝贵的真实世界数据，强化自己的自动驾驶出租车能力。
该公司目前还在美国其他几个城市进行在自动驾驶出租车测试，如北卡罗来纳州夏洛特市、佐治亚州亚特兰大市、佛罗里达州迈阿密市、田纳西州纳什维尔市、得克萨斯州奥斯汀市和亚利桑那州菲尼克斯市。Cruise 还获准在加利福尼亚州旧金山提供全天候付费机器人出租车服务。
